Synopsis

"End Game" The battle supreme between Mephisto and Adam Warlock begins. The incredible power emanating from them cause the Surfer and the other members of the Infinity Watch to break free. They watch as they two forces battle in their spiritual forms.Mephisto creates devious illusions in an attempt to defeat Adam, but he is not fooled and strikes Mephisto. This angers Mephisto, who is no longer going to hold back. The struggle has grown more intense. Soon, they all teleport away, leaving the Surfer behind.Mephisto admits that he was soundly defeated by Warlock and has agreed to release the soul and the Surfer. But before the Surfer leaves, Mephisto is able to manipulate the Surfer into believing that Warlock was planning to control him. The Surfer flies to meet Adam.He attacks Warlock and the Infinity Watch until he is finally calmed from his possession. Adam has returned the soul to Shalla Bal and she is once again whole. The Surfer and Shalla agree once again that their duties must supercede their love and return to their separate lives.
